we had our 2nd birthing class last night…it was kind of boring. they have different instructors that go over different parts of the whole pregnancy thing and the instructor we had last night spoke kinda slow and kept repeating herself. it was like she wasn’t prepared for the class or didn’t know what to say. i learned some things about what to expect at the hospital during labor, but the class was not very entertaining…it was really hard to stay focused. last week's class was more informative...we learned about pregnancy as a whole, complications to look for (which we knew of some already), and the coach's role during the labor process. next week, we get to tour the maternity ward at the hospital...can't wait for that.
well, the countdown towards izzy's arrival has begun. we have 7 1/2 weeks left before our precious little baby comes into this world. as the days go by, i get a little more excited. i'm not nervous one bit, regardless of all the stories people tell me to try and give me a little scare. i take everyone's stories and advice with a grain of salt. it's good to know of what could happen and what i could possibly experience, but the one thing i've learned is everyone's pregnancy is so different that i can't compare yourself to someone else. my pregnancy has been the total opposite of what everyone has told me about their pregnancy experiences...even my mom's.
amidst all the moving, working, school and pregnancy as a whole, i've stayed pretty grounded. five more weeks of running like hell trying to get everything done before izzy comes...wish me luck!
