october has been such a busy month for us that i've been a little behind on my blogging (and everything else for that matter). so...i'm dedicating this blog update to a little bit of everything that has happened over the last couple of weeks...be prepared for a long update!
as some of you may know, mario and i bought isabelle a big backyard playset before she was even born. we kept it in storage for several months awaiting our big move into our current home. the first thing mario did after we moved in was assemble the playset. yeah, there was really no rush, especially since isabelle was fresh out of my womb, but there is nothing wrong with being a little prepared. =) we recently bought an infant swing and replaced one of the "big kid" swings so isabelle can enjoy the outdoors while the weather is still nice. she was a little unsure of the swing the first time we put her in it, but now she loves it!

mario and his little princess...

we can't forget about our little doggies...

last weekend was exhausting! mostly because of the weeks leading up to vegas were filled with being slammed at work and preparing ourselves for being out of town, while trying to get through our normal daily functions. we went out of town for 6 days to enjoy sin city...well i wouldn't exactly call it "enjoying" sin city. i worked the first 5 days while mario and isabelle relaxed and spent quality time with each other, and we spent the last day with vy and tyler. isabelle finally met her new baby cousin julia--i think julia was more fascinated by isabelle than anything. it was so fun watching them play together.

and finally, we made it to halloween...one of my favorite holidays. i did not have the opportunity to fully enjoy the spirit of halloween when i was a little kid. i couldn't dress up so i enjoy being able to celebrate with my family. needless to say, isabelle looked absolutely adorable in her monkey costume. she wasn't too frazzled by the idea of trick-or-treating so we didn't stay out long, but it was fun dressing her up and capturing such fond memories. =)
