wow...i can't believe it has been more than a month since i made my last post! living with a toddler, we have seen many wonderful changes, at home and school, as our little girl grows. we recently put her into a new school and surprisingly she has adjusted well. i anticipated her first week to be horrible because she was going to be around unfamiliar faces and surroundings and transitioning to what i call "the big kids" room, or the toddler room. isabelle recently turned 17 months and is the youngest in her class. in fact, she is technically not old enough to be in the toddler room, but because she is so close to being the minimum age requirement, it made more sense to put her with the toddlers at the new school. she is now officially a "big girl" and immediately learned to sleep on a nap mat and eat at the big kids table (no more high chair).
by enforcing what she is learning in school, we are also using sign language at home. so far, she is really good at signing
love and sometimes signs
eat and
more. she also does an adorable booty shake when we call her sexy, brings us her shoes when she wants to go outside, is definitely a dare devil (she climbs on everything), and is an expert at playing the copy cat game.
one of isabelle's latest "trends" is wearing my high heels around the house. it is the cutest thing! i tried to capture good pictures of her doing this the very first time, but she moves around so fast that i didn't get that lucky. these are mediocre shots, but so cute i had to share.
