christmas eve

a lot has happened since my last post and this seems to be a recurring pattern with me and my blogging. i don't know where the time goes, but it sure flies by quickly these days. it's already christmas eve and 2009 is fast approaching and there are so many things to look forward to. isabelle is 5 days away from turning 10 months and boy has she developed a personality over the last couple of weeks. she loves to clap, is getting really good at waving hi and bye, and has long perfected the art of crawling and has discovered the ability to cruise along furniture and climbing over everything. she loves playing with her lion push toy and is the fastest way for her to "get around." with her new mobile abilities comes her increasing curiosity to get into everything that peaks her interest. of course, nothing she is allowed to play with interests her anymore...she loves mario's gaming systems--all the remote controls, microphones and usb wires, game cases and is already banging on the tv screen. she used to be very conscious of us telling her "no" and obeying, but now, our constant "no's" and "come here, isabelle" travel from one ear right out the other. unfortunately, she's been very sick during the past week with rsv, but that didn't slow her down too much. she's not quite 100% yet, but is well on her way to being healthy again.

with today being christmas eve, it is the last day to take pictures with santa and we have yet to take isabelle to see him! i know...this is truly procrastinating, but it's not like this happened intentionally. the weather has been really crappy lately and with isabelle being sick, going to see santa hasn't really worked out in our favor.

on a final note...earlier this month, mario and i had our first real night out together since isabelle was born. my brother watched the baby for us while we attended my company christmas party. afterwards, we went to a bar/lounge with some irmi/zr friends and had a blast! some pictures for your viewing pleasure...
