family tradition

christmas is one of my favorite holidays and when i was a little girl i always wanted a real christmas tree. there is something about the fresh pine smell that reminds me of cold winter weather and curling up in front of a warm fireplace. so a couple of years ago, mario and i began our own little holiday tradition. mario found a little tree farm 30 minutes north of plano where we choose and cut our own tree. each year, we drive to the tree farm the weekend after thanksgiving and pick out the perfect tree for our home. this year, we decided to go BIG! we have much more space and wanted to fill it with a really tall tree. we picked an 11 foot tree and it is much bigger than we expected, but still looks great in our front entrance.
