the remnants of rsv

about a month ago, isabelle became awfully sick with the rsv virus. for all of you lucky parents that haven't had to deal with this virus in a young infant, let me be the first to tell you that it's not something you want your child to have. we discovered this past weekend that even though isabelle was diagnosed with rsv in mid-december, and it's been a little over a month since her symptoms have cleared up, the rsv virus still lingers in her body and can be problematic all winter. over the last week or so, isabelle has been experiencing major conjestion in her sinuses, and it was only two days ago that there were obvious signs she really wasn't feeling well. she slept most of the day friday and hasn't been very interested in her food (which is very strange for her) and that horrible cough she had a month ago is in full bloom again. we took her to the doctor yesterday only to find out that with every cold she gets this winter comes that awful hacking cough. and to top things off, she has an ear infection in her right ear--no wonder she hasn't been as happy lately...i wouldn't either if i was going through everything she was. unfortunately, with isabelle being so young, we've maxed out all of our options to reduce and relieve her congestion and all we can do is wait for her to get better.
