my boring life

in case any of you are wondering why i've been almost completely absent from blogging lately, it's because i have absolutely nothing to do. i'm a part-time working, full-time mom/spouse, graduate student, entrepeneur/baker/hobbyist, and wedding planner trying to enjoy life as much as i can. i'm not purposefully trying to neglect all you faithful readers that look forward to seeing pictures of our princess on a regular basis...promise. nonetheless, my lack of picture taking has also been due to some trouble i have been experiencing with my dslr. but, with the help of my "expert photographer" cousin, i worked through a lot of the issues and capturing candids of our little sweet pea is no longer such a task. she now has six teeth (four on top and two on bottom) and gets into everything. she has long perfected the art of crawling and is now venturing into other new skills. she plays peek-a-boo with the doggies when they are buried under their blankets napping peacefully, opens drawers and cabinets she shouldn't be getting into, puts everything in her mouth (whether it tastes good or bad), loves to open and close doors and babbles mostly "dada" but is getting much better at saying "mama" as well. she is especially drawn to "toys" that don't belong to her...some of her favorites are daddy's xbox and ps3 remotes, cds, dvds, tv remotes, doggie toys, water bowls, paper and anything she can reach on our office desk. oh...and the telephone--mario bought her a toy phone that lights up and plays music, but that's not as fun. she likes the real phone that actually calls people to whom she can't speak to when they are on the other line saying, "hello? helllooooo...."

so anyway...anyone who has lived in texas knows our weather can change drastically from day to day and this weekend was no exception. the dallas area was covered in ice last week and only a few days later, our weekend weather was sunny and hot! we didn't exactly go swimming or anything, but did get to spend some time in the beautiful weather...enjoy!
