for those of you who haven't been to our house, let me paint you a picture of what you see as soon as you enter our front door...everything is WIDE open. there are two large rooms to your right--the formal living and dining rooms. there are no walls, doorways or anything of that nature that define these two spaces separate from the front foyer except an archway that you see immediately to your right formed by a single support beam.
beginning thursday evening, lowes and home depot became practically our second homes--ok, not really, but we made several trips buying wood, sheet rock, paint and miscellaneous supplies needed to complete our renovation. unfortunately, we didn't meet our memorial day deadline, but came pretty close. considering mario did the bulk of the work by himself, i think he made excellent progress.
remaining things on our to-do list before isabelle can move into her new room: finish painting the walls, paint the baseboards and crown molding, paint the french doors, clean the carpet and move her furniture. once this phase is complete, we can finish painting the new wall you see when you first enter our house and the new walls leading into isabelle's new nursery.
