she's growing up

since we see isabelle all time, sometimes it's hard to tell when she physically changes, but lately she has had a huge growth spurt! she has grown so tall and is as long as her changing table now. at her 15 month checkup, she weighed almost 22 lbs. and measured 30 inches long. we noticed her feet were starting to fill into her shoes and all of a sudden monday, i couldn't get her shoes on her feet anymore...that called for a necessary trip to the shoe store. for most women, those kinds of trips are fun, but taking an infant shoe shopping is not quite the same. i prepared myself ahead of time for an exhausting afternoon of driving all over town going from store to store (like our last shoe shopping adventure) trying to find the perfect shoes, but this time it was quite pleasant. of course isabelle practically runs everywhere she goes and that in itself made the trip pretty interesting. i chased her up and down the shoe aisles picking up and putting back all the shoes she pulled from the shelves while trying to browse their selection of kids shoes at the same time. after about 30 minutes of debating on which pairs to buy, i made my selections and home we went.

below are pictures of isabelle having lunch over the weekend...she is "miss independent" now and likes to feed herself. she's not great at it, but practice makes perfect!
